Based at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campusAbout the position As the Technical Support Team Lead, you'll report to the Manager, Workplace Technology and lead a dynamic team of specialists who:
Lead and be an active member of a great team of people that deliver outstanding desktop and audiovisual (AV) support.Drive a culture of continuous improvement.Manage and maintain cutting-edge teaching room technology.Provide extra capacity to the customer support team during peak periods.You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, fostering a customer-focused culture, and ensuring seamless technical support across the University.
Your Key Responsibilities Innovate & Solve: Apply your expertise to address complex technical challenges, develop innovative solutions, and enhance service delivery.Strategize & Plan: Design and implement strategies for technical support that align with University goals and policies.Lead & Develop: Manage a talented team of technical specialists, driving performance, providing mentorship, and supporting career growth.Collaborate & Advise: Work with diverse stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and deliver expert consultancy on desktop and AV support.Improve Continuously: Monitor service performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement meaningful changes.What We're Looking For We're seeking a passionate leader with:
Expertise: Strong experience in desktop and AV support, teaching room technology, and troubleshooting technical issues.Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction.Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, remote support tools, and best practices for technical service management.Education & Experience: An undergraduate degree plus 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent knowledge and training.Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and provide clear technical guidance.Your Attributes Strategic vision to align services with University objectives.A proactive, customer-focused mindset.Analytical thinking to solve complex technical problems.A commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional results.How to apply Closing date: By 11:55pm Monday 27th January 2025
