About the role: Transmax has grown significantly over the last few years, and we are not slowing down!
We are in the next exciting stage of our growth phase which is why we are now recruiting for a Technical Support Officer – Level 2.
As Technical Support Officer you will provide an integral service between the customer and Transmax and will work closely with broader technical teams to provide a wide range of application, infrastructure and software support.
Your day-to-day will include: Acting as the escalation point for issues across the team to resolve tasks, further diagnose and troubleshoot raised customer issues or other ticketed problems.Application & platform support and problem resolution.Preventative maintenance tasks.Software and hardware testing and system patching.Provide customer support via phone/email.Ticket logging, classification and prioritisation.Completion of system health checks & scheduled tasks and monitoring and responding to system health alerts.Performing and supporting System deployments and upgrades, including after-hours work.Creating, updating and reviewing existing documentation.Contribution to customer reports.This role will be required to participate in on-call activities as part of standard business requirements .
About You: You will be degree qualified (in Engineering or Information Technology) have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable IT support experience.
Your toolkit for success: Windows Server Administration & Management (Server 2012, Server 2019).Knowledge of Linux Systems.Experience with ITSM Ticketing Systems (ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy).Experience in maintaining and updating documentation of operational procedures and workflows.Solid experience and understanding of Atlassian products (Confluence).Ideally you will have: Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) experience (or other integrated control systems) and familiarity with ITS field devices and equipment.Experience in current and emerging technologies such as (or equivalent to): AWS, VMWare, Monitoring/Alerting Solutions, Veeam and GitHub.Knowledge of Active Directory.ITILv3 or v4 Certification.Database management support.What does Transmax offer?
