An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Information Technology Unit for an ongoing full-time position.
Ongoing full timeUsual work location: East Melbourne and Coburg (flexible work conditions may be available)The purpose of the Technical Support Officer role is to provide first-level technical infrastructure support, assist staff in the area of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and resolve technical problems reported through the incident management system.
The role is also expected to:
Answer Service Desk calls and emails, register incidents, and attend to their resolution, or escalate where appropriateAssist with ICT asset registration and trackingInstall and commission new desktop hardware, printers, peripherals including desktop and mobile telephonyProvide technical support for end-user technology, including desktop, laptop, mobile phones, remote access, print/scan/copy, audio-video teleconferencing, and standard softwareProduce documentation for technical and user guidesOnsite and remote support for the East Melbourne and Coburg offices; hybrid work is available.About you You are driven, enthusiastic, and set high standards in your work performance.You are a collaborative team player with a "can-do" attitude.You have solid spoken and written communication skills in writing emails, letters, and reports.You are a strong problem solver; you identify and provide workable solutions.Experience and qualifications Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
