What's the role on offer?
Based onsite in Brisbane, this is a full-time Technical Support Engineer (Maintenance Watch) position, reporting to the Technical Support Manager.
This role focuses on providing technical support to ensure fleet operational integrity and compliance, ensuring that on-time performance is maintained and any unplanned maintenance requirements are promptly addressed.
Key responsibilities include: Coordinate and expedite AOG rectifications, review deferred defects, and oversee scheduled work packages to ensure high dispatch reliability and on-time performance.
Monitor and liaise with engineers and subcontractors, ensuring maintenance records are logs are accurately recorded in the maintenance software system.
Support technical requests raised via the CAMO database, monitor MEL and deferred defect reports, and coordinate resources to minimise schedule disruptions.
Liaise with maintenance managers, Fleet Captains, and relevant Alliance departments to ensure technical issues are resolved and operational impacts are communicated effectively.
Ensure that all maintenance operations comply with safety standards and company procedures.
Actively promote safety and security reporting within the SMS by all staff.

Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate has at least 10 years in aviation, including 5 years as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on Fokker F70/100 and/or Embraer E190, and 4 years in a supervisory role.
You should hold a current AME license on Alliance Aircraft types and demonstrate skills in: Proficiency in managing aircraft maintenance records, deferred defect reviews, and troubleshooting technical issues.
High-level communication skills, with the ability to manage tasks methodically, work independently, and prioritise efficiently under changing demands.
A focus on safety, compliance, and quality assurance, aligned with Alliance's values of safety, compliance, and performance.
