As a result, our IT team has initiated a project called the Network Remediation Program. The Technical Specialist - Networks will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing infrastructure relating to the Local, WAN & Wi-Fi networks of Cabrini to ensure highest reliability, availability, and uptime for these services. The role covers daily operational activity and is a highly hands-on role within the Network Team. The role has a lot of flexibility - Working some days at the Hawthorn East Corporate Office, visiting other Cabrini sites as needed, and working from home.Key responsibilities:Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current solutions and infrastructure in conjunction with Network Architects and the Network TeamConfigure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, APs, VPNs, QoS)Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurationsMonitor performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor system resource utilization, trending, capacity planning and management reportingProvide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issuesWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and successful completion of network infrastructure solutions/changesImplement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security teamLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution, root cause analysis and solution implementationProduce detailed support documentation and technical implementation plansAbout youThe successful candidate will have sound written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to build relationships with a range of other IT team members, health professionals and health service staff. You will also have the following:Network / Engineering degree and at least 5 years of hands-on work experienceCCNP registration or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)Strong troubleshooting skills of complex network, system, and/or security problemsNetwork experience especially in the design and implementation of multi-site LANS and WANsComprehensive experience of Cisco switching, Cisco Nexus 2k & 9k and Cisco switch/router stacksSolid understanding of networking protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, IPSEC, HSRP, 802.11, QoSIn-depth knowledge of wireless technologies with experience in Aruba ClearPassStrong Network Access Control (NAC) and 802.1X deployment experienceIn-depth experience with a leading Firewall technology (Fortinet and Cisco firewalls) and also experience with Palo Alto traps is highly sought afterStrong understanding of network security to implement Layer 7 technologiesExperience of MPLS network, SDWAN and VPN networksIn-depth knowledge F5 NPM & NTA, Cisco Prime, F5 LTM, GTM, APM and BIG-IP clientEnquiries to: IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager Lee Mariu on 03 9508 5341Does this sound like your new role?
