The Department of Treasury and Finance is looking to transform and modernise their operations and way of working, using digital as one of its levers.
The department has commenced the establishment of an internal Centre of Excellence (CoE) for its digital services, transforming the existing Information and Technology branch into a high-quality enabler for its broad business.
The Information and Technology branch provides all technology related services to the Department.
The branch supports a range of business applications, as well as providing infrastructure and operational support.
This is an exciting time for the branch, as a large program of work is underway to deliver the initiatives of the Centre of Excellence.
This role will play a significant role in delivering these initiatives.
The Digital Architecture and Infrastructure team provides technical support to the Department's network, server and cloud-based infrastructure, remote access services, and acts as a technical escalation point for other teams in the branch.
The Technical Specialist role supports the Digital Architecture and Infrastructure team in the delivery of this support as well as providing technical advice, support and expertise in the planning and execution of projects and programs of work across the Department.
About you: This role is suited to someone who can think laterally, work as part of a high performing team, demonstrates a "can-do" attitude and showcases excellent communication skills.
As a Technical Specialist, you will be required to mentor and support other team members with complex technical issues, possess strong problem-solving skills and collaborates effortlessly.
Providing technical advice and expertise to support projects and experience in working under tight deadlines is advantageous.
To be successful you will possess:
