Technical Services Manager - Electrical InstrumentationA client of Chele Business Solutions is looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager suitably skilled in Electrical Instrumentation to join their team in Castle Hill, NSW. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting and overseeing the technical aspects of the business.
What you'll be doing Leading a small team of technicians and managing the efficient delivery of service, repair and calibration of a wide range of high-end test equipment, mostly of European manufacture, distributed exclusively by the company.Providing technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.Overseeing the procurement of parts and materials required for projects.Liaising with customers to understand their technical requirements and guiding their selection of appropriate equipment to meet specific applications and in some cases, developing tailored solutions.Reviewing, developing and implementing procedures to best meet service delivery times in line with manufacturers' and customers' expectations.Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards as well as with manufacturer's service procedures.Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.Collaborating with the broader business to support business objectives.What we're looking for Previous experience in/understanding of the principles of repair and calibration of microprocessor-based equipment.Competence in interpreting manufacturer's service documentation and ability to train service team.Confidence in professionally liaising with overseas manufacturer's service managers.Understanding of software and firmware relating to the equipment being supported.Experience in the supervision and motivation of a small team of technicians to meet service quality and delivery objectives.Understanding of repair techniques down to component level including SMD components will be highly regarded.Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the aptitude to effectively coordinate and motivate a small team.Excellent technical problem-solving and diagnostic skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.What we offer Fully equipped service and calibration laboratory with NATA calibrated reference standards applicable to the equipment supported.Great team in a pleasant working environment.On-site parking.Salary package consistent with experience negotiable with excellent opportunities for professional development.Occasional travel may be required.About the Company The client is a leading distributor of electrical instrumentation, serving a diverse range of industries across the nation.
