We are excited to offer you the opportunity to find your place within our dynamic and ambitious team.About the roleReporting to the Head of Fleet, this position is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and modification status of the National Jet Express (NJE) fleet. The role also involves resource management, defect monitoring, and providing technical support to our maintenance staff, contributing directly to NJE's operational excellence and regulatory compliance.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport and comply with the requirements of the Safety Management System (SMS) relevant to this position.Review and assess technical literature to ensure fleet airworthiness and compliance.Develop and issue Technical Services Instructions and Engineering Orders as required.Monitor defects and submit Major Defect Reports to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).Conduct technical investigations into issues for the Reliability Department, manufacturer, or Safety Department, identifying root causes and providing actionable recommendations.Perform technical data analysis to support the Reliability Program.Provide specialist advice to the maintenance organisation.Investigate and address Irregularity Reports, ensuring timely resolution.Liaise with manufacturers and vendors to address technical and operational needs.Oversee the development and maintenance of modification specifications for the NJE fleet.Undertake special projects aimed at enhancing the technical and operational status of the fleet.About youTo be considered for this position with National Jet Express, we require the below as mandatory pre-requisites:Tertiary Qualifications: A degree in Engineering is highly regarded.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the aviation regulatory environment.Technical Expertise: Experience with airframes and engines.
