Salary: $41.65 (inclusive of casual loading) + 11.5% superannuation
About this role Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking multiple Technical Services Assistants at Museums Victoria.

ABOUT THE POSITION: Providing technical support across all MV sites as required. This involves adapting to the different site requirements and ensuring consistent quality of technical support regardless of venue location. Handling all aspects of technical equipment needed for events and exhibitions, including setting up audio-visual equipment, lighting, interactive technology, and other technical components. Assisting MV with install and maintenance of exhibitions and gallery spaces.
Some of the key duties include: Program and operate lighting, audio- and audio-visual systems during events to achieve high customer satisfaction.Assist with bump in, bump out and set up of technical and staging equipment for events and exhibitions including staging, lighting, audio, visual and projection systems, streaming, cameras and bespoke interactives.Set up and operate technical equipment in galleries, outdoor spaces, theatre, theatrette and conference venues at all MV venues and spaces.Prepare and set up showcases (includes moving, placing, levelling, cleaning, applying seals), install/deinstall showcase furniture, and locate and install/deinstall exhibition dressing.Complete minor install/deinstall and changeover projects using experience to problem solve.The successful applicant will have: Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in the technical operation of sound, theatre and event lighting and audio-visual equipment, hybrid and streaming for events.Demonstrated experience in installing/deinstalling interactives, showcases and associated materials in a museum or gallery environment.Demonstrated experience in conducting minor repairs, including patching, painting and attaching fixtures/fittings in a museum or gallery environment.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, influence and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including curators, conservators, technicians, exhibitions and event staff, performers and clients with a focus on excellent customer service.Proficiency in the use of Elevated Works Platforms and a range of hand and power tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
