As a dynamic and driven Technical Sales Manager, you will have responsibility for driving sales growth in our expanding range of technical marine products, including Mobile Power Solutions, Stabilization, Steering, Climate, Refrigeration, and Sanitation solutions.
You will play a key role in expanding our sales channels, building relationships with distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and direct Aftermarket sales channels, while supporting training initiatives to ensure the success of Dometic's marine product portfolio.
Your focus will be on achieving sales targets that align with company-wide sales and profitability objectives, whilst positioning Dometic as the industry leader in marine technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.
Sales Growth Strategy:
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth across key product categories, including Mobile Power Solutions, Stabilization, Steering, Climate, Refrigeration, and Sanitation systems.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
Regularly analyze competitor activity and market trends to identify product opportunities and ensure Dometic's offerings remain competitive.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure effective product training plans are developed and executed, helping to enhance customer experience and knowledge.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting:
Provide accurate sales forecasts by product group and customer, and track performance against targets. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor products.
Travel & Event Participation:
Participate in regular national travel for meetings, trade shows, and conferences, with the potential for international travel to expand Dometic's global footprint.
Team Leadership:
As the business grows, you will assist in building and managing a high-performance sales team to support the achievement of overall sales objectives.
Key Requirements
Experience:
Proven experience in technical sales or sales management, ideally within the marine or related industries.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of marine products, technical solutions, and sales channels, with a focus on Mobile Power, Stabilization, Steering, Refrigeration, and Sanitation solutions.
Sales Acumen:
Demonstrated ability to develop sales strategies, manage key accounts, and exceed sales targets.
Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence customers, distributors, and internal teams.
Travel Flexibility:
Willingness to travel frequently within Australia and occasionally internationally to support business growth and customer engagement.
Leadership:
Ability to inspire, coach, and lead a team as the business scales.
Qualifications:
A relevant technical or business qualification would be an advantage.
