Their product range includes automation equipment, motion control, instrumentation, pneumatics, hydraulics, and filtration.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be well supported by a motivated and knowledgeable team.
They are looking for motivated and highly skilled Technical Sales Engineer to take the lead on business development and driving sales within their comprehensive list of Blue-Chip clients.
As the Sales Engineer for Australia, your key focus is to drive sales in existing business (PLC's, HMI's drives), as well as lead expansion into more diverse areas of industrial automation.
Key Challenges Business Development: •Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial automation, robotics, and related technologies.
•Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through market research, networking, and lead generation.
•Develop and execute strategies to penetrate target markets and achieve sales objectives.
Technical Sales: •Engage with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements.
•Provide expert guidance on automation solutions, including PLC's, HMI's drives.
•Collaborate with engineering team to propose tailored solutions and prepare detailed quotations.
•Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Relationship Management: •Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
•Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: •Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
•Provide insights to the product development and marketing teams to align offerings with market demand.
Sales Strategy & Execution: •Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
•Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
•Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of projects and deliveries.
A Degree qualification in an engineering related discipline or extensive related industry experience along with previous senior sales and account management experience will be highly regarded.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate well-developed sales skills including negotiation, influencing, formal presentation skills complemented by technical knowledge in industrial automation, including PLCs, VSDs etc.
