Senior Project Engineer Role Responsibilities: Lead small, multi-disciplinary projects or large, single-discipline scopes through all project phases, coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective, and timely project execution.
Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and that the project aligns with the approved Basis of Design and all applicable regulations and codes.
Develop and contribute to project execution plans and strategies. Undertake occasional site travel for comprehensive contract management. Demonstrate commitment to health and safety, providing safety leadership within the project team.
Participate in Constructability, Operability, and Maintainability workshops. Oversee, motivate, and monitor team performance, ensuring quality, timeliness, and addressing any performance issues.
Apply comprehensive project knowledge (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to ensure successful project execution. Understand procurement, subcontracting, and on-site construction support.
Track and analyze project design deliverables, quantities, costs, and schedules, with the ability to forecast trends. Manage project execution, coordinating regular reviews and controls to track progress and address tasks and issues.
Demonstrate strong understanding of Project Control Reports, identify problem areas, and take leadership in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to stakeholders.
What You'll Have: Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize complex situations with consideration for project costs and schedules. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, with strong organizational skills to manage information per prescribed formats and policies. Skilled in Microsoft Access and Visio. Experience in EPCM, EPC environments, including multi-cultural and multi-national settings, as well as site assignments. Extensive engineering experience, including supervisory, project management, and/or technical experience; familiarity with workshare models and E/EP projects. Significant technical, practical, and leadership expertise in relevant disciplines, with proven project engineering experience on smaller projects and familiarity with commercial and contractual aspects. Experience in constructing NPI facilities, such as site offices, temporary fuel facilities, ablutions, and water and power systems. Recognized engineering degree in NPI or a relevant discipline (or equivalent).
