Technical Report Writer

The OpportunityHCA's Wacol branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified fitter or mechanic looking to move into a corporate office-based role as a Technical Report Writer. The main focus of the role is to compile detailed technical reports relating to our re-manufactured components for internal and external customers. You will also:Conduct failure investigations for Reman components with the support of the product support teamCreating technical reports for warranty claimCreating and updating report templates to industry standardsMaintain records relating to component failure mode data and monitor failure trendsWork with internal teams to obtain an in-depth technical understanding of the relevant Hitachi Reman product and customer expectationsTo be successful in this role you will have relevant mechanical trade qualifications (fitter or mechanic). You will also have:Experience working as a fully qualified HD Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or Fitter Machinist (or similar)Experience in similar technical role with a strong technical background would be advantageousDetailed understanding of manufacturing processes within engineering and earthmoving industries would be advantageousExcellent communication and intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Word & ExcelHere at Hitachi, we believe that success comes from the partnership of our market-leading products and the quality of our people.
