Job OverviewETT CareerMove is seeking a highly skilled Technical Publications Specialist to assist in achieving logistics support objectives for our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical trade or technical background, preferably from Defence or other heavy industries like rail.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Documentation Creation: Review, write, and amend Integrated Logistics Support Instructions (ILSI), Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Instructions (EMEI), Safety Case Reports, and other technical documentation.Data Management: Manage the collation of data required for codification and cataloging.Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within a small, dynamic team to meet project goals.Contractor Liaison: Liaise with contractors to ensure smooth communication and project execution.Document Approval Process: Oversee the document approval process, ensuring all documentation meets necessary standards and timelines.Equipment Management: Coordinate and manage the issuance of equipment, ensuring all processes are compliant with regulations.Risk Management: Provide expert advice to the Sustainment Manager on any identified issues or risks that could impact project outcomes.Essential CriteriaTechnical Writing: Strong technical writing skills with experience in reviewing, writing, and amending ILS and technical documentation (e.g., ILSI, EMEI, Safety Case Reports).Data Management: Proven experience in managing the collation of data required for codification and cataloging.Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team environment.Contractor Liaison: Experience in liaising with contractors to ensure project success.Document Approval: Experience in managing the document approval process flow.Equipment Management: Ability to manage and coordinate the issuance of equipment.Risk Management: Ability to identify and advise on potential issues or risks related to project outcomes.Preferred QualificationsMechanical Trade/Technical Background: Mechanical trade/technical background from Defence or heavy industry sectors such as rail.Previous Experience: Previous experience in a sustainment or logistics support role.
