Technical Project Manager • Sydney Australia
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our APAC Data Team.
You will be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control and completion of projects across a variety of clients.
The projects will be technical in nature and related to Data and Digital Analytics inclusive of cloud implementations, web analytics deployment, Business Intelligence dashboard developments.
Essential Functions: Project Management: Oversee the timely delivery of each project, ensuring it remains within scope and within budgetAct as principal point of contact for the client, throughout the engagementDevelop the project SOW, including objectives, scope, resources, budget, and timelineWork with all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibilityOrganize and coordinate a cross-functional team of analysts, data engineers, digital consultants and others.Prepare a project plan and document project progress for review by senior management and key client stakeholdersEnsure that projects are delivered in compliance with company policies, standards, and regulationsSchedule and run agile sprint ceremonies, including daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectivesManage project tasks, acting as scrum masterMitigate risk and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costsEvaluate success of projects against established criteriaCore Values: A strong problem-solver who is comfortable in unfamiliar situations and can view challenges from multiple perspectivesDrive to develop technical and management skills for oneself and teammatesAbility to connect with clients and colleagues of different backgrounds and communication styles, through empathy and clear verbal, visual, and written communicationWe assume positive intent - Reflecting our values and goals through a transparent approach both internally and externally.We solve it together - We are one team where everyone belongs, and works together to deliver work no one else can.We act like owners - We make decisions, find solutions and are always respectful, leading with empathy not ego.We are impact driven - We always push to be better, on our quest for innovation and improving our work, we reinvent ourselves every day.Required Experience: 3+ years experience in Project Management or similar roleDemonstrated examples of use of project management methodologiesExperience working for an agency as well as on the client-sideStrong understanding of website consulting, design, and developmentComfortable using Jira as a primary tool for coordinationExperience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change managementAbility to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and communicate business value of suggested ideas & plansBachelor's degree in Business/Commerce, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Math, or Statistics/Economics are preferred.Certifications in Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Google Cloud are highly valued.We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to building a respectful and empowering work environment for all people to freely express themselves among colleagues who embrace diversity in all respects.
