Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Position Type: 6-9 month casual temporary contract

Location: Perth, WA 6000
Role Overview: To oversee and manage the end-to-end migration of the WA government's centralized core network to a new distributed architecture, ensuring minimal disruption to services and seamless integration across all agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination
Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining key milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including IT departments of various agencies, to ensure alignment and readiness for migration.Stakeholder Management
Engage with senior government officials, agency representatives, and external vendors to communicate project goals, progress, and any issues.Facilitate regular meetings and updates to keep all parties informed and aligned.Risk Management
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical, operational, and security challenges.Implement a robust risk management framework to monitor and respond to issues promptly.Technical Oversight
Work closely with technical teams to ensure the new distributed network solution meets all functional and security requirements.Oversee the testing, validation, and deployment phases to ensure seamless transition and integration.Resource Management
Allocate and manage project resources efficiently to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.Ensure that all project team members are well-supported and have the necessary tools and training.Documentation and Compliance
Ensure all project documentation is thorough, accurate, and up-to-date.Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies throughout the migration process. Essential to be successful in this role; Proven experience in managing large-scale network migration projects.Strong understanding of network architecture, particularly in distributed solutions.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Familiarity with government IT policies and regulatory requirements is a plusValid NPC or ability to obtain one How to apply: If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and to highlight why you are suitable for this role.
