Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience in program management. 3 years of experience in managing software development projects in the area of networking, specifically in network data systems or network management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software architecture, design and data modelling, development of systems and algorithms. Ability to manage ambiguity in the problem space, requirement changes and priority adjustments. Ability to develop an investigative approach to solve issues. Excellent problem solving and communication skills, with the ability to construct, articulate, and defend simple messages or insights from analysis. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.
You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
You are equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities: Deliver cross-functional projects that include large software components for managing Google's Global network. Align team members and stakeholders, communicate and keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints such as engineering reviews. Use technical judgment to motivate project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals and build consensus among cross-functional teams. Set project success criteria, create measurable milestones, track deliverables and deliver customer value incrementally.
Measure, analyze and optimize constantly to velocity, quality and efficiency of projects. Identify and implement process improvements, and help program teams scale.
