The Core Capability Requirements for this role are: Lead and manage a team of technical specialists within a frontline communication systems environment, supporting complex communications systems integration, while providing high level technical assistance to a team of technicians.Manage the portfolio of complex communication systems integration initiatives in an environment of competing priorities, coordinating quality assurance of documents and requirements.Manage, coordinate, analyse, gather and report on current and emerging communications technology trends using a diverse range of internal and external information sources.Establish a consistent framework for State-wide planning, management and maintenance of complex communications systems.Ensure that specific frontline communications systems design principles and technical standards relating to complex communications environments are developed, approved, promoted and maintained accordingly.Contribute to and develop an understanding of customer strategic directions and desired outcomes as they relate to the provision of public safety communications systems development and emergency response services.Role Requirements:Technical/ Operational/ Educational Experience• Highly Desirable - Associate Diploma or Degree in Electronics / Communications Engineering or equivalent qualification with a minimum of five (5) years' industry experience.• Desirable - Exposure to PRINCE2 methodologies.
