You will manage the delivery, design, construction, and maintenance of water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, tackle unique challenges, and make a real impact on the region's development.What your day will look like:Design, deliver, construct & maintain water supply and sewerage infrastructure.Preparation of project and/or work specifications for implementation by internal or external service providers.Supervise the execution and performance of contracts and perform inspections of works being undertaken.Identify and make recommendations to the Manager Infrastructure Delivery.Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.Investigate operational issues and prepare reports recommending appropriate resolutions.What you'll need for success:Previous experience in the delivery and design and/or construction/maintenance of water supply and sewerage infrastructure.Understanding of financial management including planning, budgeting & administration.Experience in project management principles and practices.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.Written communication: policies, guidelines and reports;Interpersonal communication: consult, partner, negotiate and interact effectively at all levels;People management: lead, motivate, coach and work as an active team participant.Qualifications/Licences:Degree (AQF 7 or above) in Engineering and/or equivalent experience in construction and/or maintenance of water and sewerage infrastructure; orTrade Qualifications (AQF Level 3 or above) in Water Industry Operations, Plumbing, Civil Construction and significant experience.Current Driver's LicenceConstruction Induction Training (White) CardWhat's nice to have:Local Government experienceRPEng and RPEQ accreditation or ability to obtainUndertaking additional relevant studies, associate degree or similarBenefits of Working with Council:We strongly support an inclusive and values-driven culture, recognising your individual skills, knowledge and talent.
