What we are looking for: Are you passionate about engineering and committed to enhancing infrastructure? We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer - Roads to join our team. In this role, you'll collaborate with the Senior Technical Officer - Roads to provide exceptional customer service through your engineering expertise in Council's roads and drainage infrastructure. The main focus of this role is to deliver outstanding customer service by applying your engineering knowledge to manage investigations of Council's infrastructure assets.
What your day will look like:

Undertake desktop and on-site investigations of Council's road and drainage infrastructure
Prepare and provide verbal and written responses on the outcome of the investigations to both internal and external customers
Coordinate with and provide support to other team members to achieve timely outcomes

What you'll need for success:

Experience in Civil Engineering
Experience in conducting investigations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Awareness of safety protocols
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to written procedures
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to deliver quality customer service and work well within a team
A current driver's licence
