Technical Officer

$35 - $45 p/h + Super 6 Month Contract Wagga Wagga
My client, a NSW Government Department, is looking for someone based in Wagga Wagga to conduct soil testing and concrete testing, predominantly, on roads. They are looking for someone with a current NSW Driver's License, a white card, and who is open to, sometimes, travelling for work.
About The Role
Conduct soil testing and concrete testing primarily in road settings. Utilize a trailer-mounted core drill to extract 100mm diameter cores at depths up to 500mm. Maintain a particular focus on work health and safety (WHS) protocols during all operations. Adhere strictly to quality management systems and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely collection, recording, and processing of field data and samples. Collaborate effectively with project teams to deliver accurate and reliable testing results. Participate in training to stay updated with industry standards and safety practices.
About You
Experienced geotechnician or construction worker who has strong experience working on roads. Previous experience conducting soil and concrete testing is desirable. Strong physical fitness with the ability to work heavy drills and carry buckets of concrete regularly. Current NSW Driver's License White Card Open to, sometimes, travelling for work/overnights
