Deliver effective technical support to MyLab at the University of SydneyBase Salary base from $86,511 + 17% SuperannuationAbout the opportunity Based out of the Hub and various locations within the USYD Main campus, this exciting role supports the technical operations of the MyLab Hub including safe management of dangerous good stores.
The Technical Officer provides sound, technical support and advice to all users of the facility and supports logistics of delivery items to end users across campus.
They will operate under broad direction from the Senior Technical Officer and assist in the maintenance of the local hub processes and ensure the safe handling of hazardous materials.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Provide advice, technical support and assistance to all users of a local hub.Maintain the hub ensuring that the research, learning and teaching requirements of the areas serviced by the hubs is met effectively.Ensure the hub is compliant with Health and Safety.Prepare reporting and documentation for the work area.Receipt, issue, storage and delivery of hazardous materials.About you Experience in a warehouse or logistics role with extensive manual handling.Experience within a facility that handles hazardous materials preferred.Sound working knowledge and awareness of safety regulations and operating procedures within chemical storage environments.Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Sound working knowledge and acute awareness of safety regulations in a hazardous good store.Hold a valid NSW drivers licence.Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
