As a Simulation Support Officer, you will: Provide technical expertise for the School of Health and Social Development's teaching programs in Occupational Therapy, Child Play Therapy, and Speech Pathology. Complete set up and pack down of simulation and specialised teaching spaces, including preparation and maintenance of equipment.Coordinate on a day-to-day basis, materials and equipment requirements of staff and students for the running of practical classes within disciplines of expertise clarifying expectations and responding promptly to resolve technical problems, issues, and requirements to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines.Understand local processes, prepare standard documents, manage records, regularly track progress of work tasks, and identify key issues.Provide support and advice to staff and students regarding the ordering, management, safe use, and disposal of equipment, and consumables.Contribute to maintenance of teaching facilities by performing regular housekeeping tasks.Monitor and maintain occupational health and safety requirements with regards to simulation and laboratory practices, including conducting regular inspections.To be successful, you'll have: Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; orCompletion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; orAn equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Experience working in health and/or allied health and/or experience working in a simulated, practical or laboratory setting, ideally within a tertiary education environment.Good knowledge of OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) principles and an understanding of the requirements for safety when working with biological and chemical hazards.Here's how to apply: Please submit your updated resume and a short cover letter outlining your skills and experience by hitting the 'Apply' now button.
