Technical Services, within College Services, provides specialised technical support to UWA's schools. This role sits within the Life Sciences discipline team focusing on teaching, research, and fieldwork support across gross anatomy, physiology, sports science, optometry, and podiatry. The team is dedicated to promoting high-performance outcomes, a strong safety culture, and efficient use of resources to enhance the University's strategic objectives.
About the opportunity
Provide technical support for teaching and research activities, with a focus on Optometry. Train staff and students in the use of specialist equipment and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards. Maintain and service laboratory equipment and assist with the procurement of consumables and small equipment to support teaching and research outcomes. About you
Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience in technical support. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. Experience in implementing policies and procedures to support technical teaching and research functions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email. Special Requirements
