APA owns and operates the Natural Gas pipeline that has delivered reliable supply of energy to the NT Communities since the 1980s and we are looking for a mechanically minded individual to join the team in Katherine.Our E&I Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems. This includes ensuring the safety and reliability of these systems, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and complying with industry regulations and standards.All our NT Team are residential employees, drive company-issued vehicles, and have a great work-life balance.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safety and reliability.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to these systems.Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve the performance of electrical and instrumentation systems.Provide technical support and training to other staff as needed.Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to advise on potential improvements.Your BackgroundElectrical trade or equivalent work experience in a relevant industry.Experience in operation and maintenance within a heavy industrial environment.Demonstrated knowledge of HSE principles and commitment to safety.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to work in a team.Adaptability to changing priorities to maintain operations.Able to work autonomously and in remote locations.Able to work on call and attend to overtime as required.Working at APAAt APA we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
