Are you passionate about optimising infrastructure and managing data to support a growing community?
Litchfield Council is looking for a dedicated Technical Officer (Assets) to take ownership of our asset management systems.
This part-time, permanent role offers 15.2 hours per week with a salary of $77,000 - $82,000 (pro-rata), where you'll be a key contributor to the development, monitoring, and improvement of Litchfield's built infrastructure.

With your expertise, you'll support our community's growth by creating sustainable, data-driven systems that enhance everyday life in Litchfield.
Key Responsibilities: Data Management : Maintain and update asset registers, ensuring accurate records across Litchfield's assets.
Asset Planning : Assist with data collection and the development of electronic asset data systems, linking them to Council's document management systems.
Long-Term Strategies : Contribute to the creation and monitoring of 10-year Asset Management Plans for assets including roads, drainage, pathways, and recreational reserves.
Cross-Departmental Coordination : Work collaboratively to integrate asset management procedures across Council and develop annual asset renewal programs.
What You'll Bring: Technical Skills : Vast experience in asset management, data systems, and ideally, geographic information systems (GIS) like ArcGIS.
Analytical Mindset : Ability to manage, report, and analyse spatial data while meeting ISO standards.
Communication : Proven written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing strategic reports and plans.
Software Savvy : Proficiency in using Office365, with experience in CIVICA software as a plus.
Collaboration : A team player with strong interpersonal skills and experience working within local government settings.
Qualifications: Certificate III in Information Technology or equivalent experience in data systems.
NT Driver's License and willingness to undergo pre-employment checks.
