Lumus imaging has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Technical Network Engineer. Reporting to the Head Of Technology Operations, the role will be to design, implement, maintain, and optimize Lumus network infrastructure. This includes ensuring reliable connectivity, enhancing network performance, and securing data transmission. The role is required to troubleshoot issues, manage network configurations, and collaborate with other IT teams to support organizational objectives. The work of the Network Engineer is crucial for facilitating seamless communication and data exchange within and outside the Lumus organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide subject matter expertise regarding network connectivity across:Local Area Networks.Wide Area Traditional Networks.Wide Area SD-WAN Networks.Provide subject matter expertise in configuration and deploying firewalls.Manage and maintain monitoring platforms.Provide 24x7 support by participating in an on-call roster.Build and sustain professional relationships with team members and external stakeholders.Experience of delivering solutions to both project timeline and budget.Pro-actively manage, maintain and secure the Lumus Network (On-prem / Public Cloud).Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceQualificationsDegree in IT Bachelor of Networking or equivalent industry experience.Fortinet NSE4.ExperienceAnalysing, developing, interpreting and evaluating complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of computer systems.Researching, analysing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems.Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies.Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations.Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements.Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions.Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance.Critical Technical SkillsManage and maintain the security posture throughout the Lumus Network in line with industry best practices.Demonstrated experience in configuring and troubleshooting VXLAN and EVPN across core network switching.Understanding of routing protocols, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.Understanding of switching technologies, STP, VLAN.Monitoring platforms via SNMP (AKIPS Advantageous).Proactive management and firmware updates to Cisco, Palo Alto, FortiGate Network Equipment.Understanding of ITIL incident management.Deployments within Microsoft Azure.New site deployments and ability to travel interstate as required.Experience in converting business requirements into network architectural diagrams.Benefits and WellbeingAs part of working for Lumus, you will have access to a range of benefits including:
