Technical Manager Retail, Consumer & Auto (RCA) provides specialised contract warehouse and distribution services to a range of industries across the globe including Consumer & Beverages, Specialty Retail, Auto and FMCG.
We offer our customers an array of robust and flexible logistics and warehouse distribution solutions in the third-party logistics (3PL) market.
Role:
As a Technical Manager in our Retail & Consumer business unit, you will play a pivotal role to facilitate the automation of the logistics and warehouse requirements of the business.
Develop and coordinate with key stakeholders that aid efficiency of warehouses and its operations through automation processes.
This role will manage the interim warehouse solution for major retail customers prior to transition to alternate automated location.
A day in the life of an Operations Manager at Toll Group: Successfully implement and deliver key warehouse automation functions for Toll Warehouses.Project and ongoing compliance requirements are continually reviewed to ensure both customer and Toll's expectations are met.Toll's key stakeholders both internal and external are engaged to accomplish goals in a collaborative and productive manner to achieve optimum results for the business.Toll's safety culture is at the forefront of all automation project considerations and meets both the organisation and regional requirements.Leading and driving the reliability and performance of the automation and order fulfilment systems.
In-house expert on the technical and automation application systems, equipment and its operating and management system.In-house contact for IT hardware and application systems.
Driving Continuous Improvement approach across the site on all the systems.What You'll Need To Succeed Qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) and a certificate or equivalent experience in Business Administration/People management or Safety.Experience in the set-up and maintenance of automated warehouse projects.Experience in Warehouse Logistics and managing large complex projects.Understanding of Logistics and supply chain solutions (WMS, TMS, WCS) & Advanced skills in MS Office.
And the ability to report financial and productivity/KPI measures.Proven experience in maintaining and working with external contracts and contracts suppliers.Experience in working within/leading a 5S or Lean environment/six sigma and kanban methods is preferable.You must be entitled to work in Australia and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.
