The Technical Liaison Officer is a key position within the Works Depot team. This position liaises with other Council departments, contractors, developers, consultants, and the community to ensure Council objectives are delivered.

The Technical Liaison Officer provides a high level of customer service and technical support to Works Depot and project management for a variety of Works projects. This will include assessing and responding to customer requests, delivering repair and condition improvements related to footpath and kerb channels, along with coordinating the replacement of footpaths impacted by street tree roots.

Other responsibilities include: Responding to all customer requests, providing high quality and timely technical customer support to all internal and external customers. Identifying defects during inspections are repaired within time limits as per the Works Depot service delivery plan. Ensuring Council tracking systems are kept up to date as per Road Management Plan recording requirements. About you
You will have the ability to organise and plan your own work schedule, along with being able to manage your own time to complete tasks within structured time frames. You will possess the skills and knowledge to problem solve using established procedures and guidelines.

The following is also required:

Must have experience working in infrastructure maintenance/works role preferably in government or a service industry with a customer service focus A current Victorian driver's licence. Ability to work in a construction site environment. Understanding of the management of Contractor OH&S. Highly developed customer service skills Well-developed skills in the use of MS Office, Pathways and Confirm software or ability to develop such skills. Desirable: Trade Certificate, Associate Diploma or Certificate of Technology in an Engineering related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential. Certified training in: Building and construction Industry OH&S: 'White card" or equivalent Induction. Traffic controller & Roadwork Signing and Safety Asbestos Awareness Interview information
