As our Technical Lead, you will partner closely with the Development Manager and key stakeholders to lead vital technical initiatives, ensuring our solutions are not just high quality, but also scalable and secure.
This role is instrumental in defining the future of our platform while cultivating a culture of excellence in our development team.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Direct architectural oversight, guide complex feature development, and implement best practices and security benchmarks.
Security Management: Champion robust security measures for our AWS infrastructure and uphold compliance with industry standards.
Collaboration: Partner with the Product Lead and Data & Insights Manager to evaluate technical feasibility and enhance performance.
Code Quality: Implement coding standards, and conduct thorough reviews to ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality, maintainable software.
What We're Looking For: Technical: Expertise in web software development (Essential) Familiarity with Linux or macOS (Essential) Familiarity with setting up and maintaining docker containers, networking, and related platform work with system architecture, and AWS (Preferred) Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Preferred) Site reliability engineering (Preferred) Testing: Proficient in testing methodologies to guide the team in building robust and reliable software systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring optimal system performance and enhancing overall software reliability.
Leadership: Ability to guide and mentor a development team.
Security: Knowledge of software security best practices.
Communication: Strong skills for stakeholder collaboration.
Project Management: Experience in managing technical projects and costings.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience: Comprehensive experience in software development with technical leadership.
I ndustry Knowledge:  Familiarity with industry standards and agile methodologies.
