Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of assigned engineering capital projects at both our chilled and frozen products factories. This role embraces a hybrid working model, with the ability to be on site at our Manufacturing facilities in Colac, Victoria as required.ResponsibilitiesUndertake studies of production processes for the identification of productivity and efficiency improvement, loss reduction, cost savings, and troubleshooting of issues.Consult with Production, R&D, Maintenance, Quality, Safety in the scoping and development of assigned projects.Write project specifications, develop project cost estimates, and prepare capital expenditure requests.Engage key stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of projects & initiatives.Obtain quotations from equipment suppliers and installation contractors.Undertake project procurement, issue purchase orders, negotiate and manage contracts.Manage contractors' work on site to the highest possible levels of safety by ensuring they work and comply with Bulla safety systems and processes.Manage projects to scope, time, and budget as planned in the approved capital expenditure request.Prepare progress reports and provide input to financial reporting.RequirementsYou will have:An Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree or an A-Grade electrician trade certificateA proven commitment to safety and willingness to engage in and promote Bulla's safety cultureA solid knowledge of AS/NZS3000 and other electrical installation standardsExperience in design and specification of electrical and automation projectsPrevious experience in managing external contractors and systems integrators, supervising electrical installation works and plant commissioningDesirable SkillsProficiency in Ignition by Inductive Automation and Sepasoft MES modulesExperience with SQL DatabasesCompetent in Python scriptingExperience working with Siemens PLC programming packages using Step 7 classic and TIA PortalExperience working with Siemens WinCCExperience working with Allen Bradley Rslogix500 and Studio5000 packagesExperience working with Allen Bradley PanelView products and Factory Talk ViewExperience working with Industrial Automation and Control System Networks, including ProfiNet and Ethernet/IP protocolsExperience with configuration and commissioning of Variable Speed DrivesExperience with Batching systems and ISA-88 methodologiesDesigning and commissioning of ASI and IO link systemsPossess a solid understanding of best practice electrical installations in food industry environmentsProject management experienceBenefitsWhat we can offer you:A hybrid working model encompassing both on-site and flexible work from home arrangementsA great cultural environment in a proud, Australian family-owned businessA variety of benefits including a Short-Term Incentive Program, corporate clothing allowance, delicious take-home product, and free parkingThis is a rare and exciting opportunity within a reputable family business.
