Join Our Homeowner Ecosystem Team The newly established Home Ecosystem Value Stream, part of Innovation, Partnerships, and Design, is dedicated to creating products and services that empower Australians on their home-buying journey. We collaborate with strategic partners across various sectors, including Property Technology and Artificial Intelligence, to deliver exceptional value to homeowners. You'll also have the opportunity to develop shared capabilities that support projects across the broader ANZ group. What will your day look like as a Tech Lead? Lead a squad of engineers to design, build, and optimise services that provide unique value to homeowners, ensuring high-quality end-to-end feature delivery. Drive architectural vision and strategic decision-making, implementing best practices throughout the development process. Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, fostering mentorship and knowledge sharing within the team. Collaborate closely with teammates on automated testing, deployments, and monitoring to ensure smooth releases and optimal system performance. Solve complex challenges with your team, leveraging asynchronous communication tools like Slack and GitHub while also promoting in-person collaboration. What will you bring? Proven Leadership: Significant experience in software engineering, with a track record of leading engineers in delivering well-engineered solutions and fostering collaboration. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Go, Java, C#, Node.js, or Python, with deep understanding of software architecture principles. Containerization Experience: Strong experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, guiding the team in best practices for containerized applications. Cloud Development: Extensive experience with cloud-based development using GCP, AWS, or Azure, driving cloud-native solutions. Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex technical challenges into clear, actionable strategies and plans. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. So why join us?
