To support our ongoing projects, we are seeking a Technical Document Writer to join our team. This 6-month contract will be site-based, working a 4:3 roster.

This includes the supply of mineral processing equipment, onsite installations, maintenance & repairs, shutdowns, offsite repairs and fabrication. About the opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Document Writer to develop comprehensive and precise documentation for mechanical inspections, maintenance instructions, operator routines, and related procedures for mining equipment and machinery. You will collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and subject matter experts to produce critical technical manuals, inspection reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role requires a strong grasp of mechanical systems, the ability to interpret complex data, and the capability to convey technical information clearly for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain technical documents such as inspection reports, operation manuals, and procedures. Collaborate with mechanical inspectors, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather, clarify, and organize technical data. Ensure all documentation is accurate, detailed, and compliant with industry standards and regulations. Review and update existing documents to reflect current processes and compliance standards. Incorporate technical illustrations, diagrams, and charts to aid in understanding complex mechanical systems. Maintain version control and manage the document lifecycle to ensure accessibility and compliance. Support training efforts with clear written materials for personnel conducting mechanical inspections. About You: Experience in technical documentation writing (3 years or more), preferably within the mining or engineering sector. Ability to create isometric graphic drawings for assembling machinery and components. Proficient in computing skills and MS Office software. Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, OSHA) and regulatory requirements. Strong planning & time management skills. Formal qualification in a technical field.
