This role is pivotal in shaping our technical practice and delivering innovative solutions that provide superior value to our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a regionally recognised technical discipline in Substation DesignAssure the quality of technical outputs through the appointment and management of Technical LeadersShape the direction of the technical practice based on future-focused insights and thought leadershipProvide technical leadership in Sales and actively participate in Client engagementIdentify, manage, and mitigate technical risk exposure to the businessCollaborate with APAC Power Technical Directors to develop a leading regional technical practiceDevelop and implement strategies to harness diversity and inclusion, succession planning, and mentoringDeliver innovative and robust technical solutions for substation projects (11kV to 500kV)Contribute to proposals, bids, and business development opportunitiesProvide mentoring and technical support in your area of specialityQualifications And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (CPEng or actively working towards it preferred)Minimum 15 years of industry experience, preferably in consulting or power utility environmentsRecognized technical specialist in substation engineering by industry and peersExtensive knowledge of Australian Standards relating to HV substation designExperience with substation primary and secondary systems (11kV to 500kV)Understanding of protection schemes, IEC61850, and primary plant technologiesKnowledge of substation construction & commissioning methodologiesExperience in substation earthing systems design, lightning protection, transformers, busbars, and switchgearJacobs.
