You will take a lead role in winning and delivering transmission and distribution projects within Aurecon's QLD Energy business. This is an opportunity to join an eminent and well-established team and take on some of the most complex challenges of the energy market transformation.In this role as a Technical Director, you will report directly to the QLD Transmission and Distribution practice leader. You will be responsible for supporting the growth and management of the business, advising our clients on the development and implementation of distribution and transmission projects across the entire development lifecycle.Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life': Provide a wealth of experience and hands-on technical leadership to grow the Transmission and Distribution Teams' capacity and technical capability. Provide leadership in building and maintaining relationships with our industry clients, from business development to managing the financial and technical aspects of project delivery. Have strong communication and technical report writing skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to a diverse range of clients. Work collaboratively across the business and with local and national clients to successfully deliver projects. Industry recognition and profile in the field of transmission lines and/or substations, membership of professional bodies, Chartered Professional Engineer, and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland. What can you bring to the team? Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and actively pursue continuous learning.You will also bring the following: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering 15+ years of industry experience Strong transmission and distribution engineering background, with a strength in HV protection and secondary system design. IEC61850 knowledge and experience would be highly desirable. Commercial and contractual acumen. Confident communication and ability to influence. Collaborative team builder with a focus on diversity and inclusion. An ability to inspire teams through a no-blame culture. Presence in the market and track record in developing client relationships and winning work.
