What you'll do: Technical direction of tailings design studies and related analyses, including fulfilling Engineer of Record and review board rolesLiaising with specialists from other disciplines or offices within WSPProviding direction and technical input to project teams and ensuring that appropriate technical standards are developed and maintainedAssessing and understanding credible failure modes and how they apply to specific tailings storage facilitiesLeadership of multi-disciplinary project teams on local, regional and international consulting assignmentsProviding technical guidance and mentoring for staff in the regional team and reviewing their project workDelivering best practice consulting services to clients in Australia and overseasProviding recommendations in area of tailings and mine waste management to clientsMaintaining effective client relationships and generate consulting businessBuilding and maintaining business networksProject direction, including risk management, budget oversight and quality control for tailings, mine waste, heap leach and similar assignmentsAbout You Bachelor Qualification in Civil/Mining Engineering or similarTypically, 25 years of experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally, ideally in a consulting environmentAbility to work independently and within multi-disciplinary project teamsHold a current manual drivers' licenceBalances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and costFlexible to meet project outcomesAdopts 'Best for WSP Mining' approach in day-to-day activitiesManages self and others under pressureFuture minded and strategicQuality and cost focusedWith us, you can.
