We are seeking a seasoned strategic leader with major project experience to join one of Australia's largest dedicated construction engineering consultancies. You will be a driving force within a highly successful business working on Australia's biggest infrastructure projects.
The role Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering team and lead national engineering initiatives to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across the country. Coordinate with Principals, Senior Associates, and other personnel for smooth project execution. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineering professionals and technical staff. Ensure the highest standards of engineering practices are maintained. Work closely with Clients to understand their needs, build strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and partners to foster opportunities for collaboration and new business. Help develop and manage the engineering Project and Task budgets and monitor project costs and ensure efficient use of resources. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. About you Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Minimum accreditation of CPEng with Engineers Australia, RPEQ and RPEV are highly desirable. Minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role within a consultancy environment. Construction engineering/temporary works experience. Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering projects successfully. Experience in strategic planning and execution at a national or regional level. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. High level of technical proficiency in relevant engineering disciplines. Ability to manage budgets and understand billable hours model.
