About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Director - APAC to join our dynamic team and drive innovation, safety and operational excellence across the region.

You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and maintenance activities across multiple countries, ensure compliance with aviation regulations, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer - APAC you will play a pivotal role in the success of all aspects of engineering, airworthiness and logistics support functions, for PHI's operations.
Responsibilities of the role include: To produce safe, airworthy aircraft for PHI flying operations while maintaining 'industry top tier' levels of aircraft availability at competitive costs for the markets in which we operate through a single, PHI Technical organisation.To develop and preserve a strong and capable team within the PHI Technical organisation and to provide a rewarding and challenging workplace for its employees.In cooperation with the Senior Leadership Team, to enable successful and profitable growth into our markets and regions of choice and in accordance with our strategy.To ensure that maintenance is performed in accordance with the policies, procedures and culture of PHI and its customers and in accordance with applicable aviation rules and regulations.Develop and execute effective business plans that drive operational success and align with company goals.To maintain and develop the structure of the PHI Technical organisation and manage the appointment and cessation processes of direct reports as required.To maintain and develop maintenance planning policies and procedures that meets the requirements for safety/ airworthiness, aircraft availability and cost competitiveness.To maintain and develop a comprehensive technical reliability program that adds value to the organisation in terms of better safety, aircraft availability and cost competitiveness.To be considered for this role, you will need: A Civil Maintenance Engineering licence (either currently or in the past).A minimum of 10 years' experience in a Technical /Engineering senior management position in a helicopter company that operates a large fleet of medium and heavy twin-engine helicopters.Experience in the management of line and base maintenance for helicopters including experience with new generation helicopter types.Experience in procurement and logistics functions.Demonstrated productive relationships with the Helicopter OEMs.Experience in International helicopter operations.Experience in creating/leading AMO's/AOC's in multiple jurisdictions.Familiarisation with Safety Management Systems and a track record of aircraft safety and airworthiness.Demonstrated capability with respect to producing excellent levels of aircraft serviceability and cost competitiveness.About you: Proven leadership competency.Sound judgement and decision making ability in line with PHI's four core values of Safe, Efficient, Quality Service.Excellent communication skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business plans.Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and other business applications relevant to the role.Strong organisation, planning/ scheduling ability.Good interpersonal and analytical skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.Be an effective performer within the organisation.By joining our team, you will work in a rewarding and professional environment, with a diverse team of people sharing ideas and experiences.
