Your Role: As part of the Airspace Movability Solutions BL, the Technical Director will provide technical leadership, drive innovation, and ensure the successful execution of technical initiatives aligned with the organisational goals. As a specialist in the Air Traffic Management domain, you will play a vital role in shaping the technical strategy, optimising processes, and fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
Some key responsibilities: Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of the technologies with preference to the AMS domain, up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements.Leadership and Management: Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers. Provide guidance, set performance goals, and ensure effective communication within the team.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term technical strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify areas for improvement, anticipate future industry trends, and drive innovation within the organization.Research and Development: Define and oversee execution of a program of research and development that supports achievement of the business strategic objectives.Product Line Architecture: Responsible for overseeing the development of suitable product line architectures for key products within the domain.On day one, you will come with: Minimum 15 years' experience in a technical/engineering leadership role within the Air Traffic Management domain.Strong background and significant experience in technical roles (ideally coming from a software-centric background).Previous experience in both green field programs and sustainment activities.Strong safety awareness.A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.It's easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don't see yourself as the perfect fit.
