Technical Director – Redlands United Football Club
Redlands United Football Club is now taking expressions of interest for the position of Technical Director. Reporting directly to the Board, this role has ultimate responsibility for the footballing direction at the club. The responsibility, however, goes well beyond the technical elements, in that you will be the custodian of footballing culture within the entire club.
It is with excitement that we reach out to potential candidates from all backgrounds. Whilst we will consider all applications, the ideal candidate will be someone who shows a desire to connect with the local Redlands community, and the unique traits that this region has to offer.
Football Queensland's definition of a Club Technical Director is as follows.
"Responsible for player and coach development and the management of the club's technical program. The Club TD is required to provide ongoing physical presence and be actively involved at trainings and match days to support players and coaches, host face to face meetings with coaches, player, parents, and club officials."
Apart from finding someone who can connect with, direct and engage with the Redlands United footballing community. We will be aligning our search with what our governing body is looking for in a Technical Director
The Key things we are looking for: Real life footballing knowledge. Experience and ability educating and mentoring coaches. Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders including the governing body, coaches, players, and parents. Skilled in all forms of communication. An ability to coordinate with volunteers to get the best footballing outcomes. Must hold or be working towards AFC/ Football Australia "A" Diploma or Licence, or overseas equivalent. Someone who can provide us with at least 3 relevant references. Someone who can connect with the heart and soul of what Redlands United Football Club is all about. And ideally someone with an ability to understand the FQ audit process. The board is committed to supporting the right person in their own footballing aspirations in any way we can. As long as there is a connection and synergy between the club's technical direction, and your passion for professional development.
Our aim is to have the preferred candidate in place before the new year starts.
