Whether new homes, shops, workplaces, schools and hospitals, manufacturing, research and development facilities, or data and distribution centers, people and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.Role AccountabilitiesProviding leadership, technical advice and input into sector strategy and plans for the Urban Development team in Victoria and nationally.Building effective and enduring relationships with other teams in the region, other Arcadis offices and external organisations to foster co-operation and maximise cross-selling and trade-up opportunities.Maintaining an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the client's business, their drivers, competitors and the industry, to be able to build rapport and establish respect and trust.Providing technical expertise and overview to clients and stakeholders to assist in technical decision-making and provide alternative options/solutions if there are changes to project parameters.Mentoring and developing the team to its full potential, and encouraging innovative and entrepreneurial thinking.Qualifications & ExperienceFirst and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life through your contribution to major urban development and regeneration projects that change the way we move around our city. You are a chartered or registered engineering professional with a passion for sharing your knowledge and experience with the next generation of engineers. You will come to us with:Chartered or registered engineer with relevant local accreditation.Extensive senior industry experience with urban development and regeneration design management is essential.Suitable engineering degree and/or qualification is mandatory, and postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.Well established industry networks and be a recognised leader in urban development.Demonstrated experience working in a consulting environment with clear responsibility for technical outcomes.Demonstrated experience leading a team of technical, drafting and engineering staff both locally and internationally.Proven ability to network and influence peers, as well as excellent communication and relationship building skills both internally and externally.Why Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
