We are investing in new and existing capabilities and have a number of exciting opportunities available.Provides sound technical advice to production managers and designers in understanding how the desired style and fit can be achieved. Responsible for the design brief pack to the vendor and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process. Actively troubleshoot with stakeholders when technical issues may arise, presenting options and solutions aligned to the brand/Group objectives. Ensure vendors have all necessary information to commence production.Key AccountabilitiesTechnical AdviceProvide technical advice and support to the team regarding styling and fitting requirements.Create and maintain accurate technical packs in the PLM system for all styles, or through an agreed manual process if no system is available.Establish and maintain appropriate construction standards across all categories with suppliers, ensuring alignment with the brand's quality expectations.Preparation & FittingPre-measure, QC check, steam, and hang all samples prior to fitting sessions. Identify variances and workmanship or construction issues, and clearly communicate them during the session.Ensure all fit comments and construction changes are accurately captured and loaded into the PLM system after each fitting session. Ownership of fit, including measuring charts and Fit block.Quality Assurance & ComplianceMaintain detailed records of product specifications, testing results, and quality control measures.Ensure that products meet regulatory and safety requirements, such as product labeling and packaging.CommunicationEstablish strong communication channels with designers, the production team, and external suppliers to ensure company strategic initiatives and targets are met.Act in accordance with Company Code of Conduct and Shared Values.Key CapabilitiesRelevant tertiary qualification in Design, or similar.A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.Proven product development experience, particularly with leather accessories design and manufacturing.Familiarity with managing relationships and operations involving overseas suppliers.High level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in product development and quality assurance.Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and suppliers.Strong negotiation skills are highly regarded, aiding in supplier management and product pricing discussions.Pattern making skills & CAD/other pattern software.Why work for CRG?The Country Road Group is one of Australasia's largest Lifestyle Brand Houses comprising of iconic brands such as Country Road, POLITIX, Trenery, Witchery and MIMCO.
