Opportunity to work on a legacy application Mainframe transformation.
We are seeking a Technical Delivery Lead who will be responsible for the enablement and end-to-end delivery of critical business initiatives.
This role involves close collaboration with teams across the organisation, focusing on planning, requirements gathering, deployment enablement, and operations management.
As a Technical Lead, you will drive the "how" of business initiatives, ensuring successful implementation through strong technical leadership and a strategic approach.

Key Responsibilities: Take end-to-end accountability for both technical and business landscapes within Melbourne and Sydney.Analyse solution feasibility in alignment with the solution roadmap and lead the team in overcoming technical constraints.Establish and maintain process optimisation related to the roadmap, ensuring solutions are sustainable and scalable.Minimise technical debt and take responsibility for both change and run functions.Contribute to quality assurance processes and manage relationships with external vendors to achieve optimal outcomes.Work closely with Business Analysts (BA), Business Systems Analysts (BSA), developers, and testers on success criteria for projects.Skills and Characteristics: Strong business and stakeholder management with excellent communication skills.Ability to see the "big picture" and take strategic action that drives results.Strong prioritisation, risk management, and operational excellence skills.Proven leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and result-oriented team environment.Effective in continuous improvement, critical thinking, and problem-solving.Adaptable, transparent, and able to wear multiple "hats" when needed, such as stepping into Product Owner (PO) responsibilities.Required Technical Expertise: Expertise in legacy application migration and knowledge of the insurance and banking domains.Proficiency in databases like DB2, IDMS, IMS DB, and Oracle.Strong hands-on experience in COBOL (Mainframe & Micro Focus), PL/1, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and SQL.Skilled in developing user stories, quality assurance plans, and contributing to Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) and retrospectives.Artefacts and Documentation: Create and maintain delivery plans for technical/business initiatives.Develop user stories and contribute to success criteria documentation.Coordinate with Product Owners for backlog development and maintain transparency through release documents and status reports.How to Apply: If you're a strategic, adaptable, and driven Technical Lead with expertise in legacy systems and delivery, we'd love to hear from you!
