However, the successful applicant will be required to undertake other duties as required and within their capabilities.   You will be responsible for: Filing, archiving, and updating all records as required. Involvement in basic client enquiries and monitoring shipments. Creation and maintenance of CPT's. Inputting analytical methods and relevant information to GEMS. Allocation of work order numbers and labels to facilitate the progress of samples through the laboratory. Writing up re-assay work including AUSQUA's. Ensure accuracy of pricing and work orders. Liaising with other staff to obtain and follow up on turnaround time and ETA's. Hands-on training will be provided in various areas of the laboratory and sample preparation section to gain an understanding of the operations of the facilities. The successful applicant will be required to work a 3-day Day Shift (7 am to 4 pm), a 3-day Afternoon Shift (11 am to 8 pm), and then 3 days off roster.   This is a residential role, and you must reside in or plan to relocate to the Kalgoorlie Boulder Region with current Australian work rights to be considered. The essentials Good alpha/numeric skills Strong language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients Computer skills and experience with Excel, Word, and OneNote Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to collect, interpret and manage data efficiently and accurately Experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous and highly regarded Geology, Chemistry, or Earth Science qualifications would be desirable A proven ability to retain large amounts of information is essential A hands-on attitude to a variety of tasks Customer service experience or aptitude Well presented with a friendly team manner Reliable, and flexible with working hours as business needs dictate from time to time Experience within a laboratory environment would be advantageous and highly regarded Be able to work to deadlines and within a team Working at ALS Our people drive our success at ALS.   We are a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion for making a difference in the world.
