The Opportunity The Technical Claims Assistant is responsible for supporting Loss Adjusters in the management of claims, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
Additionally, the role is required to utilise appropriate systems to maintain a high level of data integrity and work with the central billing team to ensure appropriate financial procedures are followed.
Duties & Responsibilities Provide technical claims handling support including, but not limited to:Undertake non-complex fee earning case work, where appropriateLiaise with Loss Adjusters to proactively support the management of claims from initial set-up to conclusionAcknowledge and notify associated parties of new claimsLiaise with the insured, insurers, brokers and any other stakeholders, to ensure optimum service levels and to become a point of contact, where neededFormat and issue technical reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines and in accordance with agreed timescalesDeal with internal and external queries in a professional manner and accurately record conversations/messagesEnsure compliance with McLarens' financial proceduresEnsure data is accurately entered in relevant systems in order to achieve high standards of data integrity and information managementRun, check, analyse and distribute reports as required, including compliance reports from internal claims systemAssist with the preparation of client and business presentationsParticipate and contribute to projects as requiredPreparing reports and correspondence for key stakeholders involved in the claimDocumenting and scheduling marketing activityCompiling, updating and maintaining client documentation and spreadsheetsUndertake general office administrative duties in accordance with company standards as required, such as diary management, expense management, booking appointments, file creation and management, minute taking and other duties as requiredReview, interpret, create technical reports for submission to client ensuring accurate presentation of information and data collectionMonitor progress of assignments and proactively assist with management of assignments to ensure compliance with SLAsLiaise with key stakeholders to assist in management of assignments and responding to matters raisedArrange and provide on the job training and supplementary training when required for employees of McLarensAssist in the marketing and development of McLarens business globally as appropriateDuties and responsibilities may be varied to allow McLarens to respond to operational requirements.Qualifications n/aSkills & Experience Previous experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the management of claims, is desirableDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and OutlookProven ability to learn new technology and software requirementsProven ability to multi-task and manage competing prioritiesStrong attention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal
