Technical Cadet

Details of the offer

As a Technical Cadet, your main responsibility will be working towards providing technical advisory services for water, wastewater, and recycled water connections, extensions, fire services, and third-party alterations for the metro region. You will assist in providing surveying, drafting, and estimating services for both water, wastewater, and recycled infrastructure projects. This role will be a combination of being in the office, in the field, and on site.
Teamwork is essential in this role, as you will need to collaborate with other team members, participate in team briefings, and work towards team objectives. Additionally, you will be required to complete online training sessions, complete study modules, and achieve the required qualifications within the specified timeframe. This is a 4-year maximum term position, offering a unique opportunity to kickstart your career at SA Water.
Your success in this role will come from: Completion of Year 12 SACEAbility to work autonomously towards a Diploma of Engineering – Technical with TAFE QueenslandHigh level of computer literacyEffective communication skills, both written and verbalPositive attitude, and willingness to work within a team environmentExperience with AutoCAD or similar (desirable)White Card (Desirable)Who will you work with: Internal stakeholders including People & Safety, Work Planning & Scheduling, Reliability & Condition Monitoring, Workshops, Business Development & Growth, Asset Management, Capital Delivery, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Field Services, Production & TreatmentMetro operation and maintenanceRTO lecturers and support employeesAs this is a study while you learn opportunity, the first-year salary per annum is $60,552.00 and goes up each year.
