We are seeking an experienced
Technical Business Analyst
for a
6 month contract , to work onsite in Newcastle 2-3 days per week in a hybrid working arrangement. Our client is currently undergoing a significant transformation of their digital platforms and products. In this role, you will work closely with product owners, developers, and key stakeholders to define and implement technology solutions that enhance digital banking services. You'll be the critical link between business needs and technical execution, ensuring that the digital banking projects deliver exceptional value.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand detailed business requirements.
Analyse and translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
Lead workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, assess solution options, and drive decision-making processes.
Support the development and implementation of digital banking features such as mobile apps, online banking platforms, and digital payment systems.
Develop data flow diagrams, user stories, and other documentation to clarify requirements.
Work with QA and testing teams to validate system changes and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices.
Stay updated on digital banking trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, preferably in digital banking or financial services.
Available for a 6 month contract with potential extensions.
Ideally have an understanding of digital banking platforms, payment systems, and mobile banking technologies.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
Proficient in business process modeling, data analysis, and requirement documentation (e.g., BRDs, FRDs, user stories).
Familiarity with API integrations, cloud technologies, and fintech innovations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and identify creative solutions.
Knowledge of PCI-DSS, banking regulations, and compliance standards is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in delivering digital transformation projects within a banking or financial institution.
Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
