About the team
The Aurion System team is part of the Shared Services Hub within the Department of Industry, Science and Research (DISR) and delivers a high-quality service to our client agencies for payruns and Aurion system support.
This role will be filled depending on skills and experience.
Functions of the Role
Functions of the Aurion System Administrator or Technical Trainee may include:

Client Payruns
System Reporting
Manage and maintain system access
System maintenance
System changes and enhancements
Stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship management
Change management and audit compliance
Development of in-system automations
Business analysis and process improvements
Solution design for automation and standardisation implementations
Undertake testing of enhancements and products and support UAT activities
Tier 2 escalation support for complex issue resolution

What you will do
Tasks that are undertaken by the Aurion System Administrator or Technical Trainee include but are not limited to:

Contribute and participate in the achievement of team outcomes
Contribute to improved business processes and service delivery
Develop and maintain documents and procedures
Work collaboratively with team members, clients and stakeholders to achieve common goals
Establish clear plans and timeframes for project implementation
Provide a high level of customer service to our client agencies and stakeholders
Contribute to a collaborative culture within the Division
Makes effective use of individual and team capabilities and negotiates responsibility for work outcomes
Contribute to business delivery activities including (but not limited to): BAU, Audit, Reporting, Development operations delivery, Capability and development, Strategy development, Client engagement, experience and communications
Contribute to business planning activities as required
Contribute and participate in developing and implementing the Aurion standardisation work plan
Provide improved business processes and service delivery through automation
Develop configurable, reusable solutions for our clients
Develop documentation for solutions provided for our clients, including solutions documentation, scoping documentation, blueprints of in-system automation undertake functional testing of solutions developed
Provide reliable, accurate and timely information to senior management
Provide training, mentoring and support to team members
Contribute to timely implementation of Aurion-related audit recommendations

Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes
A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette. The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is Canberra based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered.
