What this opportunity involves: We are seeking an experienced Technical Assistant Facilities Manager to join the team managing our Client's corporate offices in Sydney. This position will report to the Engineering Manager. Your major objective will be to ensure all activities are carried out and compliant with local statutory regulations and client-stipulated engineering playbooks. Additionally, you will lead improvement initiatives, oversee on-site operations and collaborate with vendor partners on a daily basis. The role oversees the execution of the day to day technical requirements to support the Workplace team, ensuring adherence to all service level agreements (SLA).
A key aspect of this role is to work hand in hand with other service partners such as Security and Dining Services, Landlord as required, delivering consistency of service to all building occupants and guests.
This role will be part of the account 'Out of Hours' roster and will be required to work weekends and other required stipulated hours that fall outside of normal business hours on an ongoing basis.
A snapshot of the role: Assisting in major works owner (power down planning, execution and new/refurbishment project management)Processing and execution of programmed 'Minor Project FM Works' per annual schedule.To assist the engineering manager in the day to day work and oversee the pre-preventative maintenance of all equipment.To assume all the responsibilities and authority of the engineering manager in his absence.To check all log books daily and take corrective measures accordingly.To coordinate with the outside agencies or vendors for repair and maintenance work.To check the quality of engineering goods procured by the organisation.Able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.Monitor and record utility consumption and assist to maintain efficiency.Maintain history records for all the plant equipment. Prepare reports, maintain inventories, and keep accurate records, order equipment and supplies.Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments.Ensure that Operational problems are promptly brought to the attention of the Engineering Manager.At regular intervals, inspect the working condition of equipment and engineering systems and ensure that all standards are maintained.Administer quality assurance and monitor outsourced critical works vendors to ensure equipment is maintained at a high standard.Incident management support including 24/7 on call for incident management in corporate real estate buildings and Colocation Data Centre's.Technical reporting submissions for portfolio objectives, regular meetings and data centre performance.Governance of as built drawings and OEM information.Production and management of MOPS and review of SOPS/EOPS.Review of all maintenance reports to ensure maintenance is conducted appropriately and performance issues are actioned.Sound like you? At least 3 years practical working experience in Technical Assistant Facilities Management role.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of Occupational Safety requirements.Strong PC literacy and able to manage daily activities using various systems, such as BMS, and other computerized control/monitoring system.Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of people.Knowledge of HVAC, Fire Protection System, Electrical system and BMS system.What can JLL provide you?
