The three systems to be retrofitted to the existing NGR fleet are: European Train Control System (ETCS) Automatic Train Operation (ATO) Passenger Screen Doors (PSD) Job Description The Technical Advisor - New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) responsibilities include the following: Technical Support: Provide expert advice on rollingstock design, construction, testing, acceptance, maintenance, and operations.
Design Reviews: Participate in collaborative design review and approval, specification management and review, construction evidence review and approval.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to State and Queensland Rail standards, product assurance, schedule management, risk management.
Testing: Witness static and on-track dynamic testing, test specification review and approval, test report review and approval.
Documentation: Manage and support all documentation required to successfully deliver across the projects, in line with the contractual obligations.
The Successful Applicant The suitable Technical Advisor - New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) match with the following requirements: Degree in Engineering Desirable relevant qualifications (CPEng, RPEQ) Strong knowledge and experience of rollingstock design, construction, maintenance, and operations, ideally in relation to ETCS (European Train Control System), ATO and PSD.
Background in engineering, project delivery and program management related to rollingstock.
Demonstrate experience in team working environment, leading teams to deliver projects and best outcomes across diverse range of delivery partners.
